Lalmai and Mainamati Hills

The location of Lalmai and Mainamati hills, about 8 kilometers away from Comilla city. It is near the Comilla Cantonment area. One of the largest and ancient Buddhist monasteries in Bangladesh has been found here. This place is named after Mainamati, the mother of Chandra Dynasty. The ruins and archaeological sites of numerous ancient works, such as coins of different metals, ornaments, copperplates, statues, terracotta plaques, seals, utensils etc. were found from this hill. The site of the Vihara of several Buddhist monks has been found in this site. Its importance in all aspects of its archaeological site and ancient civilization. Even today, excavation work is underway in this site. As a result, more information is being made available, many archives are available; With it being discovered new Mura and Bihar.
